Bring Better to Value-Based Care as the Senior Director of Clinical Quality, ACO
We believe in bringing "better" to our patients, partners, and communities through innovative, physician-led care models and a deep commitment to quality outcomes. At Sound Physicians, we are transforming healthcare through value-based care initiatives that improve quality, enhance care coordination, and reduce total cost of care.
We are seeking an experienced Nurse leader with a passion for clinical quality, population health, and team development. As the Senior Director of Clinical Quality, ACO, you will lead a team of Nurse Directors, shape enterprise-wide clinical strategies, and drive measurable improvements across a portfolio of accountable care partners. If you're a strategic thinker who excels at building high-performing teams and influencing healthcare transformation, we'd love to talk.
Qualifications
  • Active, unrestricted RN license required.
  • BSN required; MSN or other advanced nursing degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive nursing experience, including experience in post-acute, population health, care coordination, or value-based care settings.
  • Prior nursing leadership experience with direct people management required.
  • Experience leading clinical quality, population health, or value-based care initiatives across multiple sites or partnerships preferred.
  • ACO experience strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in quality improvement, care coordination, and population health programs.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Scheduling
  • Full-time leadership position. Monday through Friday business hours.
  • Flexible work environment with collaboration across multiple markets and partner organizations.
  • Periodic travel may be required to support partner engagement and business initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Nurse Directors, driving performance, retention, professional growth, and outcomes.
  • Oversee clinical strategy, quality performance, and value-based care initiatives across a portfolio of accountable care partnerships.
  • Establish clinical priorities, quality standards, and performance expectations to improve outcomes and total cost of care.
  • Drive quality measure performance, care gap closure, care coordination, and utilization management initiatives.
  • Design and scale onboarding, competency development, clinical workflows, and care management processes.
  • Leverage clinical and operational data to identify opportunities, monitor results, and inform strategic decisions.
  • Present performance outcomes, risks, and recommendations to executive leadership and governance committees.
  • Build strong partnerships with physicians, healthcare organizations, and internal stakeholders to advance ACO objectives.
  • Collaborate with executive and cross-functional leaders to develop and execute clinical quality and network performance strategies.
  • Influence clinical and operational leaders to adopt evidence-based practices and achieve value-based care goals.

Working at Sound Physicians
  • As the Senior Director of Clinical Quality, ACO, you will play a critical leadership role in advancing Sound Physicians' value-based care strategy. This position offers the opportunity to influence healthcare delivery at scale, improve outcomes for Medicare populations, and mentor a growing team of clinical leaders.
  • Our guiding principle is patient-first care. That commitment extends beyond individual patients to the communities and partner organizations we serve. You'll join a collaborative leadership team dedicated to innovation, accountability, and meaningful healthcare transformation.

Rewards and Compensation
  • Competitive executive-level compensation ranging from $130,000 - $150,000.
  • Annual incentive opportunity.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and retirement benefits.
  • Professional development and leadership growth opportunities.
  • Robust benefits plan available through Sound Physicians.
