SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The RN Program Coordinator, Quality Abstraction & Registry Services administers and coordinates multiple clinical registries including but not limited to: GTWG, HIQR, HOQR, IPFQR, ORYX, NSQIP, NCDR, STS, and/or VQI. Works in collaboration with clinical leadership of the individual programs. Is focused on the management of data related to their assigned registries as well as intersection with clinical program quality improvement activities. Such activities may include provider education, abstractor on-boarding and continuous quality improvement, assuring timely and accurate submissions and providing data reports for performance compliance and process improvement. Serves as the subject matter expert for assigned registries.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Two (2) years nursing experience
  • Currently licensed to practice as a registered nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
  • Experience in one or more of the following registries: GTWG, HIQR, HOQR, IPFQR, ORYX, NSQIP, NCDR, STS, and/or VQI.
  • Program leadership or project management experience
  • Experience in use of electronic medical records including electronic transfer of data across multiple systems
  • Ability to analyze, trend and display data
  • Ability to effectively communicate with clinical and non-clinical team members

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):
  • Familiar with Cerner EMR and Cerner Billing/Registration systems
  • Prior registry management preferred, prior registry data collection strongly considered
  • Experienced in distribution and receipt of data across multiple platforms
  • Project management
