Job description

BMA is seeking a Simulation Support Team Technician to join our team in Fort Leavenworth, KS.
Job Summary
  • Support the ARNG Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) in this full-time non-exempt hourly SCA position.
  • As part of the Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability (JLCCTC), the Simulation Technician provides support to the MTC and other training facilities/deployed sites (as required).
  • Serves as the local hardware, software and functional expert for one of the following:
  • FIRESIM, BSWS, JDLM, MUSE or SENGEN.
  • Answers questions concerning operation of the system, troubleshoots problems and provides configuration management on software/hardware systems.
  • Provides formal classroom instruction to BSWS operators prior to constructive exercises.
  • Maintains setup, testing and troubleshooting guides for SME system.
  • Troubleshoots computer hardware, software, and basic networking configurations.

Clearance Requirements
There is a DoD Secret Clearance required for this position.
Required Skills & Certifications
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in the LVC-G field. Demonstrated experience in Live, Virtual, Constructive, Gaming (LVCG) federations, models, systems, tools and Mission Command Systems (MCSs)
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in setting up systems, troubleshooting, and software configuration issues. Military experiences preferred. Simulation experience preferred.
  • Must have an understanding of Windows OS and Linux OS.
  • Experience working in a high security environment and management of classified equipment; Understand the Risk Management Framework (RMF) certification and accreditation process and Information Assurance (IA) requirements.

  • Obtain and maintain CompTIA Security + certification.
