About the Role:
The Learning Tree in Wilmington, NC is looking for a passionate and nurturing Twos Full Time Teacher to join our growing team! This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact during one of the most formative stages of early childhood development. If you love working with toddlers and creating a warm, engaging classroom environment, we'd love to meet you!
Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities for 2-year-old children
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
  • Monitor and support the social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and daily activities
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and positive learning environment
  • Follow all licensing regulations, health, and safety protocols within the classroom
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required; EDU 119, Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education/ in related field preferred
  • Prior experience working with toddlers in an early childhood education setting
  • Knowledge of DCDEE licensing regulations and developmentally appropriate practices
  • Current or ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification
  • Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic demeanor with young children
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Must pass required background check
