Job description

The Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Plastic Surgery is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Plastic Surgery physician at the Assistant to Full Professor level to augment our clinical, teaching and research programs.  

  • Full-time employed opportunity.
  • Join or team of highly skilled plastic surgeons who specialize in every aspect of plastic surgery, including reconstructive surgery, breast surgery, cosmetic surgery, hand and upper extremity surgery, pediatric plastic surgery, craniofacial surgery, and cancer reconstruction.
  • Interdisciplinary approach involving plastic surgeons, occupational therapists, and psychologists.
  • Patient care includes but is not limited to performing appropriate procedures both with and without the participation of residents under your supervision.
  • Educate surgeons and medical professionals of today and tomorrow.
  • Provide continuing education, and increase awareness of the Medical College of Wisconsin, and outreach services to support physicians in their practices.
  • Address the needs of patients, physicians, and medical professionals by applying both basic science technologies and clinical tools. This will be accomplished by maximizing the support of extramurally funded programs working toward the support and participation of basic scientists, clinicians, students, and collaborative interdisciplinary investigators.

Education, training, and experience required

  • American Board of Plastic Surgery Board Certified or Board Eligible.
  • Fellowship training or equivalent experience in microvascular surgery
  • Successful record of clinical excellence, research, and leadership, with a strong interest in teaching
  • Wisconsin licensure or eligible for licensure
  • Strong clinical abilities, well-refined interpersonal skills, enthusiasm, and commitment to MCWs academic missions
