Construction Project Manager – Civil / Military Projects
Location: Fairbanks, AK
Salary: $86,450–$120,000/year DOE
(Based on experience in horizontal construction, conservation, or military land projects)

TDL Staffing is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead impactful horizontal construction and land rehabilitation projects across U.S. Army and Air Force training lands in Interior Alaska.

This is a mission-driven role supporting military readiness while protecting and restoring vast natural landscapes. The ideal candidate is confident managing complex field projects, coordinating crews and contractors, and keeping budgets and timelines on track in challenging Alaska conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead horizontal construction and land rehabilitation projects including gravel roads, maneuver trails, erosion control, and restoration work
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables
  • Oversee in-house crews and coordinate subcontractors
  • Ensure compliance with ITAM/LRAM program requirements
  • Maintain strong communication with federal partners and stakeholders
  • Monitor project performance to ensure safety, efficiency, and quality standards

Minimum Requirements
  • Proven project management experience in earthwork, road construction, trail development, or similar infrastructure projects
  • Experience managing project budgets, schedules, crews, and contractor coordination
  • Ability to work effectively in Alaska field conditions
  • Valid driver’s license
  • OSHA-10 certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Must be able to access military installations (Real ID required)
  • Background screening is part of the hiring process
  • Pre-employment drug screening is part of the hiring process
  • Must support a drug-free work environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • PMP certification and/or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or similar)
