Full time manufacturing jobs are positions in factories or production facilities where employees work standard hours, usually 35-40 hours per week, to produce goods or components. These roles can include machine operators, assemblers, quality inspectors, or maintenance technicians. Full time manufacturing jobs often offer benefits such as health insurance, paid time off, and retirement plans, and may involve shift work, depending on the company's schedule. The work typically involves following safety procedures, meeting production targets, and maintaining equipment as needed.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full time manufacturing worker?

To thrive as a Full Time Manufacturing Worker, you typically need a high school diploma or equivalent, good manual dexterity, attention to detail, and an understanding of production processes. Familiarity with manufacturing equipment, safety procedures, and sometimes certifications like OSHA or forklift operation are often required. Strong teamwork, reliability, and effective communication help individuals excel in fast-paced manufacturing environments. These skills ensure efficient, safe, and consistent production output, which is critical for meeting company goals and maintaining workplace safety.

Job description

*This role is being filled directly. We do not accept unsolicited outreach from staffing agencies or third-party recruiters. Applications and referrals submitted by third-party recruiters will not be accepted, reviewed, or eligible for placement fees.

About the Company

Tube Specialties, Inc. (TSI) fabricates complete tube assemblies for the aircraft and aerospace industry, from complex manifolds to bent assemblies. We are AS9100 certified, based on ISO9001 quality system requirements. Our parts go into space, commercial, and military applications, including fighter jets, ground support vehicles, and the SM-3 anti-ballistic missile system. TSI is proud to support our customers who support our military with game-changing technology and hardware.

TSI was founded in 1973 in Tempe, Arizona, by our current owner and president. We now run two shifts and employ over 100 people. We're located about five minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport.

About the Role

Tube Specialties, Inc. is hiring an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join our Tool Room team in aerospace manufacturing. This is a hands-on role for a skilled tradesperson who can read blueprints, machine precision parts, and bring design thinking to tooling and fixture work, including CAD software such as SolidWorks. If you take pride in tight tolerances and clean, well-made tools and dies, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do

  • Read blueprints, sketches, and specifications to plan and design tooling, dies, and assemblies
  • Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools (lathes, mills, grinders, EDM) to shape parts to precise dimensions
  • Fit, assemble, and repair dies, jigs, gauges, and fixtures using machine and hand tools
  • Verify dimensions and tolerances using calipers, micrometers, gauge blocks, and dial indicators
  • Run test cycles on completed tools and dies, inspect for defects, and make adjustments
  • Recommend design improvements to tooling and fixtures using CAD software such as SolidWorks

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of experience as a Tool Maker
  • Prior press work experience required
  • CNC, CAM, Fadal and Milltronics machine experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of design principles and CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks) preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality and safety
  • Strong blueprint reading and precision measurement skills

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand 6–8 hours per day
  • Ability to lift 40–50 pounds
  • Regular use of hands for handling tools, parts, and controls
  • Ability to reach/stretch up to 3 feet

Why You'll Like Working Here

  • Hands-on role with real ownership over tooling design and repair
  • Opportunity to apply and grow design skills (CAD/CAM, SolidWorks) alongside traditional machining
  • Stable, full-time manufacturing position with a clear reporting structure
  • Comprehensive medical coverage, vision, dental
  • Air-conditioned workspaces
  • Paid sick leave and paid vacation
  • Costco membership

** This is an on-site position. We are currently unable to offer relocation assistance.

Tube Specialties, Inc. maintains a drug-free workplace under the Federal Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988. Employment offers are contingent on a background check along with pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
