Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Loss Prevention Patrol in Fort Wayne, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas at a construction location, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, observe alarm activity, document incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, contractors, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of construction areas, access points, perimeter locations, parking areas, and/or temporary facilities to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as directed, and report unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
  • Prepare accurate incident reports, complete required activity logs, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
