What is a full time life insurance agent?

Full Time Life Insurance Agents are professionals who sell life insurance policies to individuals and families, helping clients choose coverage that best meets their financial and personal needs. They work with insurance companies to offer different policy options, explain terms and benefits, and assist clients through the application process. In addition to selling policies, they may also provide ongoing customer service and help clients with claims or policy updates. Working full time means they typically have set hours and may work from an office, remotely, or meet clients in person. Their goal is to ensure clients have the right protection for their loved ones in the event of unexpected loss.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full time life insurance agent?

To thrive as a Full Time Life Insurance Agent, you need strong sales acumen, in-depth knowledge of insurance products, and appropriate state licensure. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software, quoting tools, and regulatory compliance systems is also critical. Excellent interpersonal communication, active listening, and resilience help agents build trust and maintain long-term client relationships. These skills ensure agents can effectively match clients with suitable policies, comply with legal requirements, and sustain a successful sales pipeline.

What are some common challenges faced by full time life insurance agents, and how can they be overcome?

Full-time life insurance agents often face challenges such as building a steady client base, handling rejection, and staying updated with changing products and regulations. Success in this role requires persistence, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to networking and client outreach. Many agents benefit from mentorship programs, ongoing professional development, and leveraging technology to organize leads and follow-ups. Collaborating with experienced colleagues and participating in team meetings can also provide valuable support and insights for overcoming obstacles.

Job description

About The Leber Agency:

The Leber Agency, is one of the fastest growing insurance agencies in the country. Our extensive portfolio of life insurance and annuity products includes Term, Mortgage Protection, Final Expense, UL, EIUL, Disability, Critical Illness, Annuity, EIA, SPIA, LTC, and more.

Our licensed representatives are independent brokers, and with that freedom, our agents have the resources to provide clients with endless options and the ability to customize the best coverage to fit clients’ needs.

We’re looking for driven, entrepreneurially minded individuals wanting to learn, build, and inspire others while helping families live life and protect their loved ones.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Consult with potential and current clients to secure life insurance coverage based on their needs
  • Virtually meet with individuals who have requested life insurance information (no cold calling) via our proven lead system
  • Manage sales administrative tasks such as documentation, policy processing, and maintaining accurate client records
  • Attend team calls, mentorship sessions, and training (virtual or in-person)

What you’ll bring:

  • A current life insurance license and NPN
  • A strong, coachable work ethic
  • High character and integrity
  • A familiarity with CRM platforms is helpful
  • An ability to build and nurture internal and external relationships
  • Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S.

What you’ll get:

  • The ability to work when and where you choose
  • Guided mentorship throughout your development
  • Game-changing technology and support
  • The industry’s only value-based leads program
  • A clear path from producer to agency owner. Not a promise, a structure.
  • World class culture and leadership development

Pay:

  • 1099 contractor; commissions only
  • Full-Time Uncapped Potential: estimated $125,000–$175,000+ / first year (15–20 policies/month)

Take control of your future and launch your agent career today.

No agent’s success, earnings, or production results should be viewed as typical, average, or expected. Not all agents achieve the same or similar results, and no particular results are guaranteed. Your level of success will be determined by several factors, including the amount of work you put in, your ability to successfully follow and implement our training and sales system and engage with our lead system, and the insurance needs of the customers in the geographic areas in which you choose to work.

By submitting this form, you agree to recurring contact from Symmetry Financial Group LLC and its affiliated companies under common control and their insurance agents via text & live, automated, A.I., or prerecorded calls, including for marketing or recruiting purposes. Consent not a condition of purchase.
