ROLE-

The Jr. Product Manager provides support to the Product Management team to carry out the duties and responsibilities listed below.

This is an on-site role based in Hauppauge, NY.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Strategic Partners
  • Regularly schedule, prepare and conduct business reviews with Strategic Partners
  • Produce and maintain annual sales forecast (internal and with Strategic Partners)
  • Review daily publications for market trends and intelligence
  • Actively monitor daily bookings, sales and quote reports and take appropriate action where necessary
  • Coordinate and drive sales and marketing efforts in close coordination with Regional VP's, Sales Managers, Customer Support and other team members to develop and manage existing and new customer base
  • Create strong customer relationships and actively participate in new account development
  • Generate monthly sales and market feedback reports (internally and for Strategic Partners)
  • Continuously perform competitive pricing analyses to increase market share and profitability
  • Continually update internal CRM database with product and customer specific information
  • Maintain a proactive and creative approach to reduce slow moving inventory
  • Assist with the launch of new product lines and/or special projects
  • Conduct product training for new team members
  • Regularly schedule New and Lost Business Opportunity reviews with Sr. Product Manager
  • Strategically review and price long-term contracts and fixed-price agreements
  • Promptly respond and close open actions in a timely manner
  • Actively seek ways to improve and maintain processes
  • Manage and maintain appropriate inventory levels in coordination with Supply Chain
  • Review and approve purchase orders

Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI)
  • Strong work ethic, sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Must be highly organized, responsive and motivated
  • Must possess strong follow-up and task tracking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written skills
  • Strong presentation and public speaking capabilities
  • Understanding of pricing and gross profit
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to make informed decisions
  • Must be resilient and able to adapt and conform to the position requirements
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced team dynamic

Experience and Education Required:

  • Aerospace sales and/or distribution experience is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

Physical Demands / Environmental Factors of the Position:

  • Travel to Strategic Partners and Customers as required
