Position Summary:
This Part time Testing Center Proctor will administer testing to examinees.
Hiring for the following schedule:
  • Monday - 11am - 3:30pm
  • Wednesday - 9am - 3:30pm
  • Thursday - 9am - 4pm
  • Saturday - 2 per month

Essential Duties include:
  • Proctor computerized and paper-based examinations to comply with instructor's directions and the Center's procedures.
  • Administer GED, TEAS, CLEP and other high-level secure computer tests.
  • Invigilate the testing rooms for cheating and misconduct.
  • Pass the Certification Tests by outside testing agencies (Accuplacer, ETS and PearsonVue) to be certified to administer the revenue generating tests provided by these companies. Update their skills by taking the certification tests once a year.
  • Administer placement testing on campus.
  • Monitor testing activity to discourage, detect and interdict prohibited behavior.
  • Assist the Manger to create reports, complete forms, and package test documents to return to the agency.
  • Cooperate with the testing agencies and instructors in resolving irregularities and investigation of examinees complaints.
  • Administer testing at off campus locations as needed.
  • Attend training and briefing sessions as needed.
  • Utilize technology, including AI-enabled tools and software where appropriate, to support the effective performance of assigned duties, enhance productivity, improve communication and information management, support decision-making, and other responsibilities, while ensuring compliance with confidentiality requirements, institutional policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
  • Regular attendance on campus is required for this position.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must not be a current WCC student.
  • Equivalent of two (2) years' work experience.
  • Ability to read and understand the policies and procedures contained in the agency supervisor's manual.
  • Demonstrated ability using Microsoft Office Software and Windows XP operating system. Established proficiency in computer troubleshooting, multiscreen functioning and platforms.
  • Ability to organize own workload and to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Must be available to work Saturday hours.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to use workplace technology relevant to the position, including the capacity to learn and appropriately leverage emerging AI-supported tools. Ability to assess the accuracy and reliability of AI-generated content, maintain confidentiality, and apply sound judgment and ethical practices in the use of technology.
