Position Overview

MEI Group is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented GPS Installer to join our team. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, and service GPS tracking devices in company vehicles while ensuring every installation meets manufacturer specifications and MEI's quality standards. This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in delivering accurate, high-quality installations.

What You'll Do
  • Install GPS tracking devices in company vehicles.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and service GPS tracking equipment.
  • Follow manufacturer installation procedures and MEI quality standards.
  • Perform quality inspections to ensure proper functionality.
  • Document all installation, repair, and service activities accurately.
  • Complete company-provided training on GPS products and installation procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory, equipment, and service records.
  • Collaborate with team members and vendors to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
What We're Looking For
  • Previous automotive wiring, electrical, mechanical, or technical experience preferred.
  • GPS, stereo, alarm, remote start, or accessory installation experience is a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the organization.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license meeting MEI Auto Safety requirements.
  • Must own basic mechanic hand tools (socket sets, wrenches, rechargeable tools, etc.).
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical duties including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and working inside vehicles.
  • Ability to successfully complete a background check and verify authorization to work in the United States.
