Under general supervision, performs administrative duties in support of management, including the preparation of correspondence and reports, screening telephone calls, operating all office and word processing equipment, and coordinating various functions connected to the administration of golf operations at Bandon Dunes.ย  Assignments may involve work of a confidential nature and require a working knowledge of Company and department policies, practices, and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide administrative support to management, including typing correspondence and preparing reports, forms, newsletters, and publications.
  • Coordinate appointments and travel arrangements for BDGR Directors of Golf and USGA staff.
  • Welcome and assist visitors warmly and professionally.
  • Manage incoming calls, take accurate messages, and route calls efficiently.
  • Supervise BDGR golf operations, including supplies, facility work orders, and staff assistance.
  • Maintain organized and confidential records, both physical and digital
  • Contribute to the creation of content for external audiences, such as the BDGR website, flyers, newsletters, and presentations.
  • Support departmental projects and foster positive inter-departmental relationships.
  • Serve as a liaison between different Bandon Dunes departments.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating Bandon Dunes Majors, USGA events, and other large-scale BDGR-hosted events.
  • Assist in BDGR Golf Shops as needed to promote teamwork and cohesion among staff
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. AA degree preferred.
  • Two (2) years of experience in golf operations.
  • Type 40+ wpm. Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software programs is preferred.
  • Demonstrated quality written, verbal, interpersonal, and telephone communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management ability.
  • Understands and takes direction with an ability to manage time and work independently.
  • Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
