Job description

We are looking for a Pre-Arranged Funeral Specialist at Branam Funeral Home in Homestead, FL. The Bilingual Pre-Arranged Funeral Specialist is responsible for generating pre-need funeral sales only at locations that operate as standalone Funeral Homes with no cemetery operations. This role focuses exclusively on educating families, presenting pre-arrangement options, and writing pre-arranged funeral (PAF) contracts.

The Bilingual Pre-Arranged Funeral Specialist will build relationships within the community, guide families through funeral planning decisions, and ensure accurate completion of all required documentation. This position plays a key role in improving funeral-home-only retention and increasing pre-arranged funeral penetration.

Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Interaction

  • Generates pre-arranged funeral (PAF) sales only for assigned funeral home locations.
  • Conducts professional presentations explaining funeral pre-planning options and benefits.
  • Schedules and conducts appointments with families through in-person meetings, phone, and digital platforms.
  • Demonstrates the ability to overcome objections, explain product offerings, and close PAF contracts.
  • Actively educates families about travel protection, funeral funding, and service package options.

Prospecting & Community Engagement

  • Build relationships within the community to generate leads and educate families on the importance of pre-planning.
  • Prospects daily through approved methods: phone outreach, community events, seminars, workshops, mailers, and referrals.
  • Represents the funeral home at outreach events, senior centers, churches, veteran groups, and other community partners.

Operational Responsibilities

  • Completes documentation accurately, including all contract requirements for pre-arranged funeral sales.
  • Uses CRM to track leads, appointments, activities, and follow-up tasks.
  • Maintains expert knowledge of products, service offerings, state compliance requirements, and funding regulations.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Bilingual in English & Spanish is Preferred
  • Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must obtain required sales license within reasonable time based on the state’s turnaround time (only applicable in specific states)
  • No experience in the Funeral profession required

Pay

Base pay plus commission
