Staff AccountantYour Role in Supporting Englefield Inc.’s Financial Excellence

For over 60 years, Englefield Inc. has supported our retail, fuel, transportation, and corporate operations with a commitment to integrity, accuracy, and service. Our Corporate Office plays a critical role in ensuring the financial strength that allows our brands — including Duchess — to thrive. As a Staff Accountant, you will partner with division leadership to deliver accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and support the day-to-day financial operations that keep our organization running smoothly.

What You’ll Do
  • Monitor daily financial activity for assigned division(s) and resolve discrepancies.

  • Identify errors or misclassifications, correct them, and recommend process improvements.

  • Monitor inventory, investigate issues, correct discrepancies, and recommend improvements.

  • Assist with preparation of financial documents, including variance summaries and final division financials for Division VP review.

  • Serve as the first point of contact for division leadership regarding financial information, guidance, and recommendations.

  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions, financial statements, and consolidated reports.

  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.

  • Use technology and accounting systems to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reporting clarity.

Other qualifications include, but are not limited to: Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, lift, and carry as needed. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines.

  • ERP accounting software experience preferred.

  • CRM experience a plus.

  • Intermediate Excel and Word skills required.
