As Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for providing accurate and timely month-end reporting and reconciliation of general ledger accounts.


Full-Time

What your day looks like:

  • Journal entries and general month-end accounting duties including accruals for multiple related companies
  • Detailed bank and general ledger account reconciliations
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide cost reports to management to improve business operations
  • Examine costs incurred in relation to activities conducted to determine effective use of resources
  • Assist VP of Finance  with Audit requests including preparing audit schedules
  • Maintain debt and depreciation schedules
  • Prepare and distribute recurring reports
  • Prepare state and federal tax compliance reports (sales tax, fuel tax, L&I, etc.)
  • Review payroll (processed by third parties) for accuracy and post to the general ledger
  • Other responsibilities and special projects as assigned


Requirements:

More about you:

  • College level accounting studies from a four-year accredited college/university
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting preferred
  • Minimum 2 years general ledger experience. Skilled in general accounting, analysis, account reconciliation and month-end closing & financial reporting
  • Minimum of 5 years related accounting experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient with accounting software; experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and Management Reporter would be a plus
