What are Full Time Football Agents?

Full Time Football Agents are professionals who represent football players, coaches, or teams in contract negotiations, transfers, and endorsements. Their role is to manage their clients' careers, secure the best possible deals, and provide guidance on legal, financial, and personal matters related to football. These agents work exclusively in the football industry and often have strong networks with clubs, scouts, and sponsors. To become a football agent, individuals usually need to pass a licensing exam and comply with the regulations set by football governing bodies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Full Time Football Agent, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Full Time Football Agent, you need a deep understanding of sports management, contract negotiation, and a relevant certification or license (such as FIFA agent accreditation). Familiarity with player management software, contract law systems, and scouting databases is essential. Outstanding interpersonal skills, networking ability, and ethical judgment set top agents apart in building trust and long-term relationships with clients and clubs. These skills ensure successful client representation, maximize opportunities, and maintain compliance within the competitive and regulated football industry.

Part Time Football Agents work on a less intensive basis, often balancing other jobs, but still need similar certifications. The main difference lies in commitment level and work hours, impacting their daily responsibilities and client engagement.

What are the main challenges a Full Time Football Agent faces when negotiating player contracts?

A Full Time Football Agent often deals with complex negotiations involving multiple stakeholders, such as clubs, players, and sponsors. One common challenge is balancing the player's career aspirations with the financial and contractual terms offered by clubs, while also adhering to league regulations and transfer windows. Agents must also stay updated on market trends and legal requirements to ensure their clients receive the best possible terms. Additionally, managing relationships and effective communication are key, since misunderstandings or misaligned expectations can jeopardize deals.

ABOUT OUR AGENCY:I opened my agency in 2018 after serving as a pastor for 17 years, bringing a people-first, values-driven approach into agency ownership. I'm married and a proud parent of five children, with one son playing college baseball and the others active in various sports. I was born and raised in Middle Georgia and remain a lifelong resident of Warner Robins. I earned my bachelor's degree from Brewton-Parker College and stay active in the Chamber of Commerce. Outside of work, I enjoy golf, working out, and cheering on UGA football - Go Dawgs! Our team includes 10 full-time members, and we operate with high standards, strong energy, and a deep commitment to one another.
Giving back is central to who we are. I remain deeply involved in the local church and proudly support youth and school athletics, including serving as a major sponsor of high school football, baseball, and local youth sports programs. For our team, we offer 15 days of flat PTO, Friday lunches, an annual team trip (two nights with a plus-one), an annual bonus program, a 401k, licensing reimbursement, and a holistic approach to supporting employee health and individual needs.
Our office culture is fast-paced, high-producing, and highly driven, balanced by a strong family-oriented foundation. We're looking for team members who are coachable, dependable, self-disciplined, competitive, emotionally intelligent, and team-oriented - people who value growth, resilience, gratitude, and doing meaningful work together.
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
As Account Manager - State Farm Agent Team Member for Ryan Lyons - State Farm Agent, you are vital to our daily business operations and customers' success. You grow our agency through meaningful customer relations and acting as a liaison between customer needs and agency departments. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships to drive retention and growth.

  • Oversee the resolution of complex customer issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in insurance sales or account management preferred.
  • Leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Willingness to engage in sales conversations.

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

  • Auto insurance
