The Lodge is a 4-star hotel located only 5 minutes from downtownWhitefish and 10 minutes from Whitefish Ski Resort. The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, one of Montana's AAAFour Diamond resorts, is seeking a Front Desk Supervisor tojoin our Guest Services Team through October. Hourly DOE.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION PURPOSE:
Directly supervises front desk personnel and ensures proper completion of allfront desk duties. Works closely with the Front Office Manager andOwner/Operator to direct the activities of the front desk, bellman, and valet.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for the training of front officeagents, ensuring hospitality standards are maintained.
• Ensure all guest concerns and requests areresolved promptly and properly.
• Ensure the accuracy and completion of all daily,weekly and period end checklists as prescribed by the Front OfficeManager.
• Designated trainer for all Front Officestaff.
• Maintains all Front Desk logs and materialsincluding information binders, phone lists, and training materials.
• Always wear the proper uniform. Requiresall front office associates to always wear proper uniforms.
• Enforces all cash handling and creditpolicies.
• Regular attendance of standup meetings in themorning when the Front Office Manager is absent.
• Schedule flexibility required, days, evening,and weekends, required, Night Audit shifts as needed.
• Red Book Maintenance includes entering allevents and details on a weekly basis, reading all notes, following up on anyoutstanding maintenance concerns, and following up with all guest problems,complaints and requests.
• Updating Event Binder includes keeping allcatering, event calendars, and group turnovers up to date as well as organizingand being sure that this tool is up to speed for all staff to use.
• Maintain all logs including ski ticket logs,patience voucher logs, and package logs. Notifies Front Office Managerwhen inventories are low.
• Be a point of contact for guest billingquestions after checkout when Front Office Manager is not available.
