Food Service Director

At Armstrong Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, we're committed to providing exceptional care and services in a friendly, resident-focused, and home-like environment. As a Full-Time Food Service Director, you'll be part of our dedicated team that reimagines what a subacute care facility should be.

About the Role:

As our Food Service Director, you'll manage the Dietary Services Department to provide nourishing, palatable, and well-balanced diets that meet the daily nutritional and special dietary needs of each resident and patient. You'll be responsible for managing employees in the preparation of attractive nutritionally adequate meals served at proper temperatures and at appropriate times. Additionally, you'll ensure the care and sanitation of institutional food service equipment and work areas used for preparation, storage, and service.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Dietary Services Department to provide high-quality food services to residents and patients

  • Plan, prepare, and serve regular and therapeutic diets in a healthcare setting

  • Manage employees and ensure efficient and economic allocation of department resources

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal laws/regulations and accepted nutritional standards

Requirements:

  • SafServ Certification

  • Current active registration in Kittanning

  • Three plus years of supervised institutional food service experience planning, preparing, and serving regular and therapeutic diets in a healthcare setting
