Job description

The Charlton Fire Department is seeking qualified candidates for an immediate opening for a full-time Firefighter Paramedic (EMT may apply).ย Ideal candidates will have experience in the delivery of prehospital emergency care at the Paramedic level, previous firefighting experience, and a desire to be engaged in a team focused organization. Candidates should be compassionate, energetic, and driven to make a difference in the community. ย There is no residency requirement. ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GEDย ย ย ย 
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to successfully complete the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy Career Recruit Training Program or Equivalent and obtain Pro Board certification as FirefighterI/II.
  • Possess and maintain Certifications as a Paramedic by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Office of Emergency Medical Services.
  • Possess and maintain CPR Certification.
  • Career Recruit Firefighter I/II Certification (preferred)
