About the Role:
Lowville Farmers Coop is looking for a driven and knowledgeable Agronomy Sales Representative to join our team in Lowville, NY. This is a fantastic opportunity to work directly with local farmers, helping them maximize crop performance while growing your career in agricultural sales.
Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective farmer customers in the region
  • Recommend and sell agronomy products including seed, fertilizer, crop protection, and soil amendments
  • Conduct field scouting, soil sampling, and crop assessments to provide tailored agronomic recommendations
  • Develop and execute territory sales plans to meet and exceed revenue goals
  • Stay current on product offerings, agronomic research, and industry trends
  • Collaborate with the cooperative team to ensure timely product delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in local agricultural events, trade shows, and grower meetings

Requirements:
  • Background in agronomy, agriculture, crop science, or a related field
  • Prior experience in agricultural sales or a customer-facing agronomy role preferred
  • Strong knowledge of crop production, soil health, and agronomic best practices
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage a sales territory independently
  • CCA (Certified Crop Adviser) designation is a plus
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel throughout the local region
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
