JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective
Responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals by generating leads through networking, prospecting, referrals, and account rounding. Responsible for conducting needs assessments, providing insurance proposals, and recommending coverage options to clients. Responsible for working in conjunction with Team Members to service current clients by maintaining ongoing relationships with those clients' ownership teams, through continued stewardship, risk assessment, and risk management.

  1. Builds strong relationships with potential and existing clients to identify and meet their insurance needs
  2. Promotes teamwork by maintaining a positive and respectful attitude with colleagues.
  3. Collaborates with underwriters and other internal teams to ensure client satisfaction and timely policy issuance
  4. Demonstrates strong communication skills through effective verbal and/or written exchanges, active listening and respectful response.
  5. Maintains accurate records of customer interactions & sales activity through the Agency's CRM system.
  6. Maintains confidentiality of all information related to clients, employees, carriers, or as appropriate, other information.
  7. Strives to increase knowledge and/or enhance skills through continuing education by attending industry events, conferences, trade shows, etc as well as participating in regular sales training & other professional development activities.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Hours may vary depending on the department and scope of work assigned.

Required Education and Experience
  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Insurance License

Preferred Education and Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree from a college or technical school with a focus on business, marketing, or related field
  2. Minimum of 3 years of sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  3. Prior insurance sales experience
