Job description

Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth! Rite of Passage Team is hiring for an Equine Director at Oak Grove Academy in Jasper, Florida.
Located in rural Jasper, Florida - At Oak Grove Academy, we provide a therapeutic approach to improving the lives of Youth through the many opportunities we offer such as Equine, Sports, Culinary Arts, Medical or Masonry.
Compensation: $50,000 annually

What you will do: As an Equine Program Director, the Equine Program Director will use your knowledge of equine science, nutrition, and communication to manage horses and to educate people about horse care.
To be considered you should:
  • Additionally, 6 years' experience working in the field with horses (with no degree) or 2-year degree with
    equine husbandry and 2 years' experience working in the field full time with horses.
  • Field experience may include Farm Management, Groom, Shoe Preparation, Vet assistance or any other
    experience that requires hands on work with horses.
  • Education Degree or Education Courses with the ability to create lessons and assessments and experience
    working with juveniles.
  • Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screening, physical, and TB Test.

Schedule - Typical schedule: Five days on/two days off, forty hours per week. Schedule may vary or be adjusted due to business demand or unforeseen circumstances.
