The University of Miami Health System ("UHealth") IT Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Epic Training Lead.
The Epic Training Lead trains and supports the institution's clinical systems required for patient care and maintains a solid understanding of the overall integration of business applications to provide training and support to staff members. The Epic Training Lead leads in the communication of new policies and procedures and serves as the primary support contact in all matters related to training. The Epic Training Lead assists junior team members' work efforts in the communication of training policies, coordination of required training, and management of all aspects of classroom and virtual training. The incumbent maintains the scope, schedule, and quality of training as well as maintains current knowledge of UHealth's policies, procedures, and business operations.
Administerstraining activities to reinforceappropriate systemusage in the delivery of robust patient-centered care.
Reviewsproject plan, monitorstasks and milestones,and reportschanges/status to senior leadership.
Providesinstruction to junior team members andreviewstraining through the entire training life cycle while meeting deadlines and initiatives.
Leadsthe communication of new policies and procedures related to training.
Servesas the primary resource for junior application team members on all aspects of training.
Overseesall phases of training, the analysis of new training implementation, and validation of the impactsonthe workflow.
Reviewsthe identification and troubleshooting of training issues that arise and delegates the work to resolve them.
Overseesthe evaluation and resolution of training issues, identification and implementation of requested training changes, retrieval of requested data, and day-to-day training operations.
Collaborateswith analysts on application changes and new features to develop training strategies.
Reviewsthe interaction with stakeholders,thebusiness community, and end-users to ensure training meetsUHealth'sbusiness/clinical needs.
Maintainsregular communication with team members andleadsweekly project team meetings.

Participatesin pre-production simulations, workflow integration, testing, and validation of system functionality.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.
Department Specific Functions:
As a Training Lead, you will report to the Director of the group and will be responsible for:
Leading training efforts and delivering highquality ILT and VILT for end users.
Mentoring and supporting Principal and Credentialed trainers while maintaining training standards.
Partnering with analysts and stakeholders to align training with workflow and system changes.
Managing the full training lifecycle, including curriculum, environment readiness, and golive support.
Collaborating with Instructional Designer to identify training gaps and drive continuous improvement to ensure effective Epic adoption.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor'sdegree inrelevant field
EpicCare Ambulatory/Kaleidoscope Certifications required
5years ofrelevant experience preferable in healthcare or healthcare-related organization
Experience supporting outpatient environments, with a strong understanding of physician, nurse and ancillary roles' workflows, hospital outpatient departments, and end-to-end patient experiences.
Knowledge of integrated healthcare workflows, including scheduling, laboratory services, radiology, billing, and inpatient clinical operations.
Familiarity with ophthalmology physician practices' workflows and patient experiences.
Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and writtenform.
Ability tomaintaineffective interpersonal relationships.
Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
Ability to lead, motivate,developand train others.
Proficiencyin computer software (i.e.Microsoft Office).
