Job description

Prominence Advisors is actively seeking an Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) to join their team. The Epic Client Systems Administrator (ECSA) is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of Epic client applications and infrastructure. This role ensures that end users can securely and efficiently access Epic environments across desktops, mobile devices, and virtual platforms.
You'll have the opportunity to help healthcare organizations solve their toughest challenges through your ability to drive strategic process improvement, manage complex projects, and solve difficult problems. Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, and manage Epic Hyperspace, Epic-specific print services, Interconnect, and related client system components.
  • Monitor and maintain system performance, availability, and security of Epic applications.
  • Support Citrix, VMware, or other virtual delivery platforms used to provide Epic access.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Epic client applications, end user access, and environment stability.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, application analysts, and vendors to support upgrades, patches, and new releases.
  • Create and maintain system documentation, standard operating procedures, and configuration records.
  • Manage and maintain Epic print services, including deployment and troubleshooting of printers within Epic.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing.
  • Provide on-call support as needed for production issues.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, industry standards, and security requirements.

Requirements
You will need to possess the following qualifications for this role
  • Certifications
    • Epic Client Systems Administrator certification
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Experience supporting Epic client applications and infrastructure.
    • Familiarity with Windows Server administration, Active Directory, and Group Policy.
    • Experience with Citrix, VMware, or similar virtualization technologies.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills for application and system performance issues.
    • Understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, and load balancing.
  • Preferred Skills
    • Experience with healthcare IT systems and workflows.
    • Knowledge of scripting and automation (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.).
    • Prior experience in large enterprise environments with 24/7 clinical operations.
  • Soft-Skills
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
