What does an early childhood lead Teacher do?
Are you ready to take the lead in shaping young minds and creating a nurturing environment? As a Full Time Early Childhood Lead Teacher at the Y, you'll play a pivotal role in the day-to-day classroom activities. From planning and leading program activities to ensuring effective communication with children, parents, and center personnel, you'll be at the heart of creating a positive learning experience.
Collaborating with the center director and providing guidance to Teacher Assistants will be key in ensuring smooth operations and a supportive team dynamic. Join us in making a difference in the lives of our little ones!
Are you the Teacher we're looking for?
  1. Must have a minimum of an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or CDA certification.
  2. An understanding and knowledge of children, their behavior and development.
  3. Specific knowledge in developmentally appropriate practices for the age group.
  4. Must have or enroll in CPR, First Aid, Child Abuse Prevention, and Prevention of Infectious Diseases.
  5. Warm and friendly personality and the desire to work directly with young children.
  6. Meet DCY licensing qualifications in training and background check.
