Position Purpose

The Dishwasher position is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards of glassware, tableware, utensils, pots, and pans using machine and manual methods. The Dishwasher position is also responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitized dish area.

Requirements:

Essential Functions

  • Maintaining a clean and organized dish room and work area.
  • Cleaning dishes and operating a dish machine.
  • Practicing Safety and sanitation standards.
  • Emptying trash bins.
  • Communicating professionally with coworkers and Front-of-the-House staff.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently and as a team member within the scope of established rules and regulations.
  • Ability to manage one’s own time.
  • Ability to identify, gather, and analyze information, exhibit sound and accurate judgement and make timely decisions.
  • Ability to read, write, and analyze information, exhibit sound, and accurate judgement and make timely decisions.
  • Ability to meet deadlines; accomplish work in order of priority; professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions.

Qualifications

  • 6 months experience in a full-service restaurant and/or bar preferred.
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred

Other Requirements

  • Must pass pre-employment background check and substance abuse testing.
  • Maintain necessary mandated food and drink certifications.
