Job description

Digital Marketing Specialist
What We Do
GBS Benefits, Inc. partners with employers to design, negotiate, and manage the benefits they provide to their employees. These benefits range from medical and dental to mental health support and pet insurance!
Our Culture
The GBS Culture is the foundation of our team's strength. We value innovation, collaboration, and fun. We believe in building a workplace where our people can thrive and our clients can count on us for fresh and effective solutions.
Job Summary
GBS Benefits is expanding its Marketing team and is seeking an experienced, strategic Digital Marketing professional to own and advance our digital presence across channels. This role is critical to how we show up in the market - supporting growth, strengthening our brand, and helping our sales and client teams succeed.
This is a full-time digital marketing role focused on execution, optimization, and measurable results. You will be responsible for launching, managing, and analyzing digital marketing initiatives across channels, with a focus on driving engagement, expanding brand reach, and delivering a positive return on investment. This role will also play a key part in strengthening and evolving GBS's online presence and digital brand experience.
You'll work closely with Marketing leadership, collaborate with internal partners, and have meaningful ownership over how digital supports the business.
What You'll Do
Digital Strategy & Campaign Execution
› Plan, execute, and optimize digital marketing campaigns across email, web, and paid/organic channels
› Manage and evolve email marketing efforts, including campaigns, journeys, and list segmentation for both client and prospect outreach
› Support website content and design, including generating and converting leads into clients, updates, and ongoing optimization in partnership with internal stakeholders
Performance & Optimization
› Track and analyze digital performance (email, web, campaigns), including running a/b testing and analyzing ad spend ROI
› Translate data into insights and recommendations - not just reports
› Help establish best practices, benchmarks, and repeatable processes for digital marketing, and building systems that scale nationally
Collaboration & Enablement
› Partner with the Social Media Specialist on content planning and alignment
› Collaborate with Sales, Client Services, and Leadership to support campaigns, initiatives, and key business priorities
› Ensure digital efforts align with GBS brand standards and broader marketing goals
Continuous Improvement
› Stay current on digital trends, tools, and best practices
› Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, performance, and impact across channels
› Support additional marketing initiatives as needed
What We're Looking For
Experience & Skills
› 3-7+ years of experience in digital marketing (B2B experience preferred)
› Hands-on experience with email marketing platforms including driving the email strategy, content creation, campaign execution and tracking. Includes working with our various business units and understanding their needs.
› Familiarity with website CMS platforms and digital asset management
› Experience using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), SEMRush, and ActiveCampaign to inform decisions
› Comfort owning projects from concept through execution and reporting
What Sets You Apart
› You're both strategic and execution-oriented
› You enjoy digging into performance and improving results over time
› You communicate clearly and collaborate easily across teams
› You're organized, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
› A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Benefits & Pay
Pay is negotiable based on experience - we don't want to discourage anyone from applying! It is important to our team that we find the right fit.
In addition to a competitive salary, GBS provides a wide range of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, and much more! We also provide free fountain soda and coffee to help you get through the day.
Performance Expectations
› This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) and your typical schedule will be 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday. This position is hybrid, with both in-office and remote flexibility.
› At GBS, we love respect and teamwork. Our clients depend on our ability to efficiently work together to deliver on their needs and goals.
› Time management, organization, and prioritizing multiple projects are important responsibilities of this position.
› It is also important to follow the policies and procedures set forth by GBS including, but not limited to, attendance confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
Working Conditions & Essential Functions
› Our employees enjoy our modern, open, and light-filled office. Each workstation is equipped with adjustable desks to allow for sitting or standing and ample storage to maintain and clean workspace. Our office is also equipped with white noise and is climate controlled.
The working environment described above provides a representation of what employees may encounter in the workplace while performing essential duties of the job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job duties.
