Role Overview

The Data Center Project Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of data center projects, including new builds, expansions, migrations, upgrades, and decommissioning efforts. This role works closely with cross-functional stakeholders—facilities, infrastructure, and external vendors—to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety, security, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of data center projects, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk mitigation.
  • Develop and manage project schedules across all phases: design, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, and decommissioning.
  • Own project budgets, cost forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for cross-functional coordination among facilities, infrastructure teams, and external vendors.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, compliance, and regulatory requirements throughout project execution.
  • Support capacity planning initiatives and contribute to long-term data center strategy.
  • Travel to project sites as required to support project delivery.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience within data center or infrastructure environments.
  • Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, racks, cabling, and networking.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex, multi-vendor projects.
  • Prior experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) implementations.
  • Proficiency with project and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and Visio.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to align technical solutions to business requirements.
