Full Time Davinci Resolve information

What is a full time DaVinci Resolve specialist?

A Full Time DaVinci Resolve specialist is a professional who works primarily with DaVinci Resolve, a leading software for video editing, color correction, visual effects, and audio post-production. This role typically involves editing raw video footage, enhancing image quality, balancing colors, and ensuring the final product meets creative and technical standards. Full-time specialists may work in film studios, television, advertising agencies, or as part of a post-production team. Strong knowledge of DaVinci Resolve's features, attention to detail, and collaboration skills are essential for this position.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a full time DaVinci Resolve editor?

To thrive as a Full-Time DaVinci Resolve Editor, you need expert-level video editing skills, color grading proficiency, and a solid understanding of post-production workflows, usually backed by a portfolio or relevant experience. Familiarity with DaVinci Resolve software, advanced color correction tools, and knowledge of codecs, formats, and hardware acceleration are essential. Strong attention to detail, creative problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients and team members set top editors apart. These skills ensure high-quality, visually compelling projects delivered on schedule, meeting both creative and technical demands.

What are some common challenges faced by professionals working full time with DaVinci Resolve in a post-production environment?

Full-time DaVinci Resolve professionals often encounter challenges such as managing tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality color grading and editing standards. Balancing creative client requests with technical workflow constraints is common, especially when collaborating with directors, editors, and sound designers. Staying updated with frequent software updates and new features can also be demanding but is essential for efficiency. Strong communication and organizational skills are crucial for navigating these challenges and delivering consistent results in a collaborative, fast-paced post-production setting.

Oasis Family of Businesses – Thrillville | Marion, IL Full-time | On-site

About the Role
Thrillville Marketing is looking for a creative storyteller to help capture and produce the visual content that brings our brands to life. As our Visual Content Creator, you'll shoot and edit video and photography across Oasis, Black Diamond and Thrillville — everything from action inside ThrillHouse to tournaments, concerts, new menu items, motorcycles, and aerial footage of Thrillville's ongoing development.
This is a hands-on content creation role built for someone who knows how to find the shot and turn it into content that gets attention — with strong instincts for composition, lighting, movement, timing and emotion.
What You'll Do
Video Production & Editing
  • Capture high-quality video across our businesses, attractions, sports and live events
  • Shoot with professional/mirrorless cameras, mobile devices and other production equipment
  • Produce short-form vertical content for Reels, TikTok and Stories, plus longer-form horizontal content for YouTube, websites and campaigns
  • Edit polished, engaging content with strong pacing, storytelling, music, sound design and transitions
  • Capture clean audio and apply solid lighting, framing, composition and camera movement
  • Perform basic color correction and create titles, graphics and simple motion graphics
  • Optimize content for everything from mobile screens to TVs, digital signage and large-format displays
Photography & Still Content
  • Capture high-quality photography of people, products, food, facilities, sports, attractions and live events
  • Apply strong composition, lighting and exposure skills in both controlled and fast-moving environments
  • Select, edit, color-correct and retouch images for social, web, digital ads, print and PR
  • Build and maintain an organized library of original photography across our brands
Drone & Aerial Content
  • Drone operation and aerial videography experience preferred, especially for facilities, sporting events and development/destination properties
  • FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification preferred, or willingness to obtain it
Creative Collaboration
  • Partner with the Marketing team on concepts, shot lists and creative approaches for campaigns
  • Proactively spot content opportunities rather than waiting for assignments
  • Help shape a consistent visual style across Thrillville, Oasis and Black Diamond
What We're Looking For
  • Demonstrated ability to shoot and edit compelling video and still photography
  • Strong visual storytelling instincts for social and digital platforms
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve or Final Cut Pro
  • Adobe After Effects experience a strong plus; Photoshop and/or Lightroom familiarity helpful
  • Experience with CapCut, Canva or similar fast-turn social editing tools a plus
  • Strong project and deadline management across large volumes of digital media
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, live environments (sports, concerts, attractions, events)
Experience: We care more about what you can create than how long you've been creating it. Professional experience is welcome, but we also encourage emerging creatives, recent graduates and self-taught creators with strong instincts and technical skill to apply.
A portfolio, demo reel or work sample showing both video and still photography is required. We want to see how you shoot, how you edit, and how you tell a story visually. Please email Macie Minor a link to your work @ mminor@enjoyoasis.com
