Job description

We are a growing technical services contractor specializing in structured cabling, security systems, access control, and CCTV installations across commercial and mission-critical environments. Our teams work on active data center projects and are built on quality craftsmanship, accountability, and field expertise.

Position Overview

We are hiring experienced Low Voltage Technicians for active data center cabling projects in the Chandler, AZ area. All work is within a 40–50 mile radius of Chandler — no overnight travel required. This is a full-time opportunity with consistent data center project flow. We have a strong preference for low voltage technicians with hands-on CCTV installation, IP camera cabling, and access control experience, but will consider all structured cabling technicians with solid data center cabling backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform data center cabling installations including cable pulling, structured cabling runs, and full MDF/IDF buildouts
  • Execute MDF and IDF buildouts including rack and cabinet installation, cable management, and final dressing
  • Install, terminate, and test structured cabling systems including Cat6, Cat5e, and single- and multi-mode fiber
  • Pull cable and complete terminations on patch panels, jacks, and 66/110 blocks to project specifications
  • Install CCTV systems including IP camera mounting, camera cabling, and connecting cameras to the network
  • Run cable to CCTV and IP camera locations and support full camera system commissioning
  • Install access control hardware including card readers, door contacts, electric strikes, mag locks, and REX devices
  • Perform access control cabling and terminations in support of full system installations
  • Install pathway systems including ladder rack, J-hooks, cable tray, and firestopping in data center environments
  • Organize, route, and dress network cabling in MDF/IDF environments with clean, consistent labeling
  • Read and interpret blueprints, riser diagrams, and schematics to support accurate structured cabling and low voltage installations
  • Troubleshoot and test copper and fiber cabling systems to validate against project specifications
  • Document daily progress and maintain a clean, organized job site

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of low voltage technician experience with a focus on data center cabling or structured cabling
  • Hands-on experience with MDF/IDF buildouts, cable pulling, and cable termination
  • CCTV installation experience including IP camera cabling and network connectivity preferred
  • Access control experience including card readers, electric strikes, mag locks, door contacts, and REX devices a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of structured cabling standards and data center cabling practices
  • Ability to pull cable, terminate patch panels, and complete full MDF/IDF buildouts independently
  • Proficient reading construction drawings, riser diagrams, and technical documentation
  • Must own basic hand tools required for low voltage technician work
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
  • Must pass background check and drug screen
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • BICSI, OSHA, or manufacturer certifications a plus
