Data Center Lead
Target Salary: $95K to $105K
LOCATION: DLIFLC, 1759 Lewis Road, Monterey, CA 93944
Position Overview:
The Data Center Lead is responsible of proper configuration and support of domain system servers, SAN, backup systems, identity management and security of the datacenter. The Data Center Lead is also responsible for overseeing the daily operations and maintenance of data center facilities.
Job Duties:
Key responsibilities include managing staff, monitoring systems, and implementing policies to ensure optimal performance and data security. The Data Center Lead also collaborates with various departments to support business objectives and maintain compliance with industry standards. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership ability, and organizational skills to ensure the smooth and efficient running of server environments.
Job Requirements:
    • Educational requirements include BA/BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5+ years' experience, or substitute with 9+ years of progressive experience in serving as a data center system administrator
    • Ensure the 24/7 operation and security of the data center
    • Manage and train data center staff and technicians
    • Oversee installation, maintenance, and upgrades of data center infrastructure during or after work hours
    • Monitor system performance and oversee troubleshooting efforts
    • Implement and enforce data center policies and procedures
    • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for equipment and services
    • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup plans
    • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
    • Conduct regular audits and assessments of data center operations
    • Experience leading a team
    • Experience maintaining a high availability datacenter
    • Experience with Amazon, Microsoft, or Google cloud services.
    • Experience with VMware vSphere platform.
    • Extensive experience in both application development/sustainment as well as operational support for large, highly scalable applications.
    • Applicable Computing Environment /Operating Sever Certification

Required to Start Qualifications:
  • IAT Level II Certification is required to Start (CCNA Security, CSA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP) Certification
  • A NACLC Public Trust Clearance is required to Start.
