Requirement - Data Center Engineer

Contract W2

Role Overview

This position is the most senior role on the Data Center Services team. The Data Center Engineer leads infrastructure efforts, supports architecture discussions, and helps drive strategy while ensuring uptime and stability across enterprise data center environments. This role requires both technical depth and the ability to operate across teams and with leadership, influencing technical direction and owning outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous uptime across data center systems and facilities.
  • Lead complex infrastructure initiatives and provide direction across operations, monitoring, and projects.
  • Design and implement infrastructure solutions, contributing to architecture and system design.
  • Troubleshoot operating system, application, hardware, and infrastructure issues.
  • Manage infrastructure projects and serve as a liaison between Data Center Services and other IT groups.
  • Mentor Data Center Technicians, providing technical guidance and best practices.
  • Provide reporting, analytics, and operational insights to recommend improvements.

Required Qualifications

Experience:ย A minimum of 5 years of recent infrastructure or data center experience within enterprise environments is required.

Technical Skills:ย A strong understanding of servers, networking, storage, and virtualization fundamentals is necessary. This includes experience with Windows, Unix, and Linux environments, as well as knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP. Familiarity with monitoring, observability tools, automation, and scripting is also required.
