Description

The .NET Software Engineer/Developer will design, develop, and maintain web applications using the .NET framework. The successful candidate will integrate software solutions with Oracle databases, support production environments, and drive data quality. The engineer will work collaboratively in an agile scrum environment, contributing to deployment automation, documentation, and supporting testing activities.  

This role requires 1 day onsite each week in Rosslyn, VA.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Software Development:
    • Design, develop, test, and deploy web applications using the .NET framework.
    • Implement best practices for IIS development, ensuring scalable and secure web application infrastructure.
    • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code, adhering to NIST security requirements.
  • Database Integration and Management:
    • Integrate .NET applications with Oracle databases.
    • Develop and maintain database objects including packages, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
    • Utilize database tools such as SQL Developer, SQL Plus, Toad, and SQL Server Management Studio for development and troubleshooting.
    • Drive data quality initiatives and provide production support for database-related issues.
  • Deployment and Automation:
    • Participate in automated deployment processes and demonstrate a willingness to learn and use Ansible for deployments.
    • Collaborate with team members to create and maintain deployment automation scripts and documentation.
  • DevOps and CI/CD:
    • Use CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, and Nexus to manage code repositories, build pipelines, and artifact storage.
    • Contribute to continuous integration and delivery processes to ensure rapid and reliable software releases.
  • Security and Integration:
    • Integrate web applications with multi-factor authentication (MFA) products such as OKTA and CyberArk.
    • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Agile Collaboration and Testing Support:
    • Work in an agile scrum environment, actively participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Qualifications

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors and 9+ years or more experience; Masters and 7+ years; may accept additional experience in lieu of degree.

    • Deployment and Automation.
