Our team of professionals supports clients through construction, budgeting, planning, and scheduling for time-sensitive projects. We cater to various sectors, including food and beverage, pulp and paper, power, pharmaceutical, chemical, manufacturing, and industrial maintenance services.

Job Title:  Self-Perform Construction Supervisor (Hourly)

Location:  [Manufacturing Facility]
Schedule:  Full-time, Hourly (may include overtime and shift work as required)

Position Summary

Lead and supervise self-performing construction crews and subcontractors within a manufacturing environment, ensuring all maintenance, repair, and construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, and according to quality and production standards. Manage daily job assignments, workflow, and materials to support manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day activities of in-house construction crews performing facility maintenance, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Assign work based on crew skills, schedule priorities, and project requirements.
  • Conduct job site inspections, coordinate materials/equipment procurement, and track progress.
  • Collaborate with plant management, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Maintain accurate records of work orders, labor hours, and material usage
  • Train and mentor crew members to improve skills and productivity
  • Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot on-site problems promptly

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on and supervisory experience in self-performing construction or industrial maintenance
  • Strong knowledge of construction trades, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, and HVAC
  • Familiarity with manufacturing facility environments and operational priorities
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
  • OSHA safety training certification (e.g., OSHA 30) required
  • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technical or vocational training in construction, facilities maintenance, or a related field
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Additional safety certifications and trade licenses

Compensation

  • Competitive hourly range $32 - $42 per hour, commensurate with experience
  • Overtime pay eligibility
