Sales Associate
Bridgewater Banquet & Conference Center

The primary focus will be sales and coordination of all catered events to maximize revenue and profit. The sales position will support the Director of Sales by completing tasks as directed.

Bridgewater Banquet & Conference center is the ideal, upscale venue for your, Wedding Receptions, Holiday Parties, Corporate Events, Business Meetings & Conferences, Expos & Trade Shows, Fundraisers & Themed Events, Proms & Reunions.
Responsibilities included, but are not limited to:
  • Knowledge of event sales in a variety of markets.
  • Prospect new opportunities to increase business by outside sales calls, phone, and email marketing.
  • Conduct site visits to prospective clients.
  • Maintain or exceed sales budgeted goals and revenue.
  • Qualify incoming leads; negotiate all food/ beverage/ function space minimums. Secure catering business by developing and sending proposals and contracts.
  • Follow up on outstanding proposals and contracts, to effectively close business.
  • Produce daily, weekly, monthly sales and reports as requested.
  • Attend weekly operations meeting to review banquet event order's, staffing and sales opportunities.
  • Provide accurate and detailed banquet event orders to ensure success for all departments.
  • Actively participate in industry networking meetings and vendor relations.
  • Comply with Company's Policy and Procedures.

Qualifications
  • 2+ years of event sales, or 3+ years of event coordinating.
  • Knowledge of venue management, as well as catering food and beverage services.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and prompt follow up skills.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills with both customer base and staff.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of Caterease and CRM software is a plus.
