Job description

Trueline is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Water/Wastewater Construction to join their team in the greater Utah area within a respected heavy civil contractor specializing in complex municipal infrastructure and water resource projects. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced construction professional who thrives on delivering large-scale treatment plant and infrastructure projects while mentoring project teams and driving operational excellence.


What You'll Do as the Senior Project Manager:

  • Lead complex water and wastewater treatment facility construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout
  • Oversee project planning, procurement, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and reporting activities
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards
  • Manage project financial performance, including forecasting, cost controls, change orders, billing, and risk management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, engineers, municipalities, regulatory agencies, and key stakeholders
  • Lead project meetings and provide executive-level updates on project status and performance
  • Collaborate with field leadership to proactively address construction challenges and maintain project momentum
  • Mentor and develop Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents
  • Drive accountability, continuous improvement, and best practices across project teams
  • Support long-term operational success through process improvements and lessons learned initiatives


Must-Haves as the Senior Project Manager:

  • 10+ years of water and/or wastewater treatment plant construction experience
  • 10+ years of project management experience within heavy civil construction
  • Proven experience managing projects ranging from approximately $10 million to $200 million+
  • Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Superintendents
  • Strong understanding of RFIs, submittals, procurement, scheduling, cost controls, change orders, and progress billing
  • Experience managing projects from preconstruction through closeout
  • Ability to build strong relationships with owners, engineers, municipalities, and project stakeholders
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience

  • Wastewater treatment plant construction expertise
  • Water treatment facility construction experience
  • Structural concrete construction experience
  • Tank construction experience
  • Excavation and site development experience
