Job Overview:

Pay Range: $70/hr - $75/hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Strong expertise in Cisco wireless solutions, wireless networking concepts, and wireless system integration.
  • Advanced proficiency in switching and routing with Cisco platforms.
  • Practical experience with Palo Alto firewall configuration and policy design.
  • Solid knowledge of VPN networking and Cisco VPN technologies.
  • Proven background in AWS networking including design of virtual private clouds.
  • Strong networking foundation covering core networking principles and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Experience working in hybrid work models and collaborating across distributed teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Design robust enterprise wireless architectures using Cisco wireless technologies and core wireless networking concepts to support highly available and scalable connectivity for global business users.
  • Define target state network topologies that integrate wireless systems, routing, and switching to deliver predictable performance and simplified operations across hybrid corporate environments.
  • Oversee end to end wireless system integration efforts so that controllers, access points, authentication services, and monitoring tools operate cohesively and reliably.
  • Develop detailed network designs that use Cisco routing and switching capabilities to ensure efficient traffic flows, resilient paths, and clear separation of critical business segments.
  • Configure and optimize wireless protocols and network foundation components to enhance roaming experience, reduce interference, and maintain consistent coverage in complex office layouts.
  • Implement and fine tune Palo Alto firewall policies to safeguard wireless and wired traffic while balancing strong security controls with seamless user access.
  • Design secure VPN solutions using Cisco VPN and related VPN networking technologies to provide reliable remote connectivity for distributed teams and partner organizations.
  • Collaborate with cloud teams to architect AWS networking integrations that connect on premises wireless and core networks with cloud workloads using secure and performant patterns.
  • Create network standards and configuration templates for Cisco wireless, routing, and switching environments to drive consistency, reduce configuration drift, and simplify future expansions.
  • Perform in depth troubleshooting across wireless, firewall, and routing domains to quickly resolve incidents, minimize downtime, and identify root causes for long term remediation.
  • Develop monitoring and observability strategies for wireless and core networking components that use metrics, logs, and alerts to detect anomalies and performance degradation early.
  • Document architectures, network diagrams, and configuration guidelines in clear and accessible formats so that operations teams can support the environment effectively.
  • Partner with security, application, and infrastructure teams to ensure network architectures align with organizational security baselines, regulatory requirements, and performance expectations.
  • Guide adoption of networking best practices including segmentation, high availability, capacity planning, and change control to maintain a stable and secure network ecosystem.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on optimizing wireless coverage, simplifying network designs, and reducing operational risk across hybrid work models.
