Overview

The Senior Network Engineer designs, implements, and maintains enterprise-wide networks supporting large user populations. This role ensures secure WAN/LAN, VPN, and hybrid cloud network operations.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, configure, and manage LAN/WAN networks.
  • Manage VPN services, site-to-site connectivity, and remote user access.
  • Integrate on-premises infrastructure with hybrid cloud networks.
  • Support VoIP/VVOIP and video conferencing.
  • Conduct capacity planning, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, information technology, engineering, telecommunications, or related field.
  • 10+ years IT experience.
  • 7+ years enterprise network design/implementation.
  • 5+ years WAN/LAN support for 1,000+ users across multiple sites.
  • 5+ years VPN provisioning and management.
  • 3+ years hybrid cloud network integration.
  • 3+ years network services and topology design.
  • Certifications: IAT Level II, CCIE/JNCIE, Routing & Switching.
  • Active Secret clearance.

Tools & Platforms

Cisco IOS, Juniper JunOS, VPN technologies (Cisco AnyConnect, Palo Alto, Fortinet), Wireshark, SolarWinds, Splunk, NetScout, Azure VNets, AWS VPC, VoIP (CUCM, SBCs).
