About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Supply Chain Analyst I, Middle Mile and Last Mile Transportation to support the critical day-to-day execution and optimization of our transportation networks. This role is essential for maintaining business continuity and supporting essential operations, acting as a crucial part of our Middle Mile and Last Mile networks. The Analyst I will focus on ensuring high service levels through proactive shipment monitoring, data-driven reporting, and strong carrier coordination. You will play a vital role in maintaining network fluidity and helping the team achieve key cost and performance targets within the context of time-sensitive, temperature-controlled grocery e-commerce deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage transportation operations, including carrier relationships, route optimization, and cost control to ensure on-time deliveries and cost savings
  • Continuously identify areas for process improvement within the network to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization in supply chain operations
  • Evaluate and optimize inventory levels, distribution networks, and transportation routes to minimize costs and maximize operational efficiency
  • Build dashboards, self-service tools, and ad hoc reports to analyze and present data associated with business operations, and strategic decision making
  • Identify actionable insights, recommend business actions, and influence the direction of the business by effectively communicating metrics and results to stakeholders

Network Operations & Execution
    • Support Middle Mile (MM) network operations by partnering with cross-functional teams to meet daily business needs.
    • Align with inbound and outbound Operations teams on truck schedules and proactively monitor shipments to mitigate unforeseen issues such as delays or accidents.
    • Manage and resolve system exceptions, including issues related to loading errors, incorrect load information, and missing pickup details within the transportation management system.

Data Visibility & Reporting
    • Contribute to the root cause analysis process to identify service failures and drive continuous improvement in On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance.
    • Support "Where is my PO/Order" visibility through diligent data monitoring and reporting.

Carrier Management & Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Assist in managing carrier performance, maintaining accurate rate cards, and ensuring cost-effective operations.
    • Partner with Merchandising and Replenishment teams to align on product delivery expectations and gather inbound plans for varying demand.

Operational Excellence
    • Act with urgency, good judgment, and a customer-first mindset, especially during emergency or critical business-impact events.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Technical proficiency in Excel, SQL, and dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Operational knowledge of linehaul operations, carrier management (scheduling, tracking system exceptions) and cold chain logistics.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to use data-driven insights to support strategic decisions and solve operational problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for cross-functional alignment and carrier management.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to changing business needs.
  • A detail-oriented problem solver with a proactive ownership and high accountability for ensuring lanes operate smoothly.
Preferred Competencies
  • Familiarity with cold chain logistics or e-commerce operations.
  • Experience with direct-to-consumer delivery models.

Compensation Range
  • The US base salary range for this full-time position is $70,304 - $82,500
  • This role may be eligible to discretionary bonus, incentives and benefits
  • Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
