Job description

Job Title: Supply Chain Planning & Execution Advisor
Subcontract Employment: 1099 or LLC
Location: Remote with Travel (U.S. and Global as needed)
Travel: 25-50%+
Shift: First and Flexible
Overview:
Belcan is seeking expert Supply Chain Planning & Execution Advisors to support advanced manufacturing organizations focused on improving delivery performance, material availability, and supply chain stability.
These engagements often involve working directly with aerospace supplier facilities, including casting, forging, and precision machining operations, to improve supply chain planning, production scheduling, material flow, and supplier delivery performance.
Responsibilities Include (Advisors may support one or more of the following operational areas):
Supply Chain Planning & Control
* Support demand planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
* Improve inventory performance, safety stock strategy, and VMI/consignment models.
* Support supply chain network design, logistics optimization, and distribution center performance.
* Assist with supplier development initiatives and supply chain readiness for new product introductions (NPI).
* Improve supply chain planning processes across OEM and tier-supplier manufacturing networks.
Manufacturing Supply Chain Execution
* Improve MRP planning, production scheduling, and material flow through manufacturing operations.
* Manage WIP tracking, shop floor planning, and capacity/load balancing.
* Identify and resolve bottlenecks impacting manufacturing throughput and supplier delivery performance.
* Support operational improvements at aerospace supplier facilities such as casting, forging, and machining operations.
* Support supplier engagement and rapid response initiatives to stabilize production output and delivery performance.
Enterprise Systems & Operational Improvement
* Support ERP/SAP and manufacturing enterprise systems within production environments.
* Assist with ERP implementations, manufacturing system integration, and planning system improvements.
* Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or structured problem-solving methodologies.
* Drive cost reduction, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Core Qualifications:
* 15+ years of experience in supply chain planning, production control, manufacturing operations, and/or supplier performance improvement within complex manufacturing & warehousing environments.
* Experience supporting S&OP, demand/supply planning, inventory optimization, and material availability across manufacturing operations.
* Hands-on experience with MRP/ERP systems and production planning, including scheduling, shop floor planning, WIP control, and load/capacity balancing.
* Demonstrated ability to improve manufacturing delivery performance, resolve bottlenecks, and reduce lead times across production and supplier networks.
* Experience working directly with suppliers or sub-tier suppliers to improve delivery, material flow, and operational performance.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience supporting aerospace supply chains, particularly suppliers producing castings, forgings, or precision machined components.
* Experience supporting new product introductions (NPI), production ramp-ups, or supply chain start-ups in complex manufacturing environments.
* Familiarity with Line of Balance (LOB), capacity modeling, or production system planning tools.
* Experience applying Lean, Six Sigma, or structured problem-solving methods in manufacturing environments.

* Comfort working in fast-moving operational environments
