Job description

About Avoca
Avoca is transforming how home service companies engage with their customers. Our AI-powered conversational agents handle every high-value inbound call, from booking jobs, qualifying leads, and driving higher revenue, all at a speed and consistency unmatched by human call centers.
We're a Series B startup backed by Kleiner Perkins, Meritech Capital, General Catalyst, and other top-tier investors, with $125M raised and a $1B valuation. We grew 10x in 2025 and have scaled to 130+ employees in under two years across our NYC headquarters and Santa Barbara office.
In a $1T+ market where 85% of missed calls go to competitors, we're building the category-defining platform for AI-driven customer engagement, serving the largest brands in home services. With high-energy, in-office teams in both locations, every hire here has an immediate and visible impact.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We're hiring a Channel Partner Manager to build one of Avoca's most important revenue engines: partnerships with the HVAC manufacturers, OEMs, and distributors that sit upstream of every contractor. Avoca has established itself as the leading brand and AI partner in the home services industry through partnerships across several channels, and this role owns distribution through the OEM and supplier layer. These partnerships put Avoca in front of thousands of home services operators at once, with the credibility of brands they already know and trust.
You'll own a revenue goal and a portfolio of these relationships, from OEMs like Trane, Daikin, and Carrier to their distribution networks. You'll take partnerships end to end: finding the opportunity, structuring the relationship, and turning it into repeatable pipeline and revenue. This is a small, fast-moving team, so you'll wear many hats and help build the playbook as much as run it.
You'll report directly to the Head of Partnerships and work closely with leadership on our highest-priority partner initiatives.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Own a portfolio of partner relationships end to end, from first conversation to signed partnership to revenue
  • Build partnerships across HVAC manufacturers, OEMs, distributors, and their territory managers, including the co-op programs that fund and shape how these partnerships work
  • Structure partnerships that create real distribution: co-marketing, referral motions, preferred-vendor positioning, joint events, and go-to-market
  • Turn relationships into measurable partner-sourced pipeline and ARR, and own those numbers
  • Represent Avoca with partners and at industry events, with travel as needed, heavier during conference season
  • Work closely with Sales, RevOps, and Marketing to convert partner introductions into closed business
WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Direct experience in the home services industry building channel partnerships with HVAC manufacturers and distributors like Trane, Daikin, Carrier, or Ferguson
  • Existing relationships you can activate quickly, with manufacturer channel leaders and distributor territory managers, plus an understanding of how co-op works
  • Experience with channel, co-marketing, or partner-sourced revenue motions
  • 4+ years of professional experience, with 6 to 10 years the ideal range
  • A track record of building and closing partnerships or commercial relationships, not just managing existing ones
  • Strong commercial instinct and clear communication with both field operators and executives
  • High agency and pace: you build the playbook and move at the speed of a high-growth startup, not a legacy player

WHO YOU ARE
  • You know the home services world well enough to bring a point of view and a network with you, not build both from scratch
  • You're a relationship builder who's equally comfortable in the field and in a boardroom
  • You think in systems: you can look at a fragmented landscape and quickly see where the leverage is
  • You want to own a book of partnerships, carry a number, and shape what this function becomes
BENEFITS
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Company-sponsored 401(k) through Vestwell
  • Flexible PTO plus U.S. federal holidays
  • Company-wide off-sites
  • Daily in-office lunch through Parkday
  • Dinner covered when working late
  • Commuter benefits and late-night rideshare
  • Standing desks and workspace accommodations available on request
  • All core tools and software provided

Compensation: The expected base salary for this role is $160,000-$220,000 with final compensation based on experience, skills, and qualifications determined during the interview process. Avoca's total compensation package includes base salary, bonus, equity, and a comprehensive suite of benefits and perks. Our Recruiting team will share the full details as you progress through our hiring process.
Why Avoca
