Job description

Job Description/Duties:

The job is construction work placing underground fiber optic telecommunications cables in the communities we serve. The employee will be asked to dig, rake and cleanup using hand tools. In addition, depending on the employee’s capabilities, they may be asked to operate light trucks and construction equipment (backhoes, trenchers, caterpillars, etc..).

For 2026, the work will primarily be in and around Keystone, SD. Our work day begins at 7:00 AM Monday through Friday. The job in Keystone, SD will go through Thanksgiving depending on weather. This job can be seasonal or full time. If you live in MN, we will fly you out on Monday morning and home on Friday night.

Hours:

A typical work week is Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Pay:

This is an hourly paid position. Overtime is paid after working 40 hours in a work week at 1 ½ times pay. Pay is bi-weekly. The range of pay is $20-24. Each candidate will be evaluated based on their work experience.
