Cable Assembler - Full Time

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

About the Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented Cable Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for preparing parts, assembling cable connectors, building wiring harnesses, and supporting production operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, works well with others, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble front and rear cable connections according to engineering drawings and work instructions
  • Remove cable jacketing to expose internal wiring using hand tools
  • Strip, splice, and prepare wiring as required
  • Crimp electrical contacts using hydraulic crimping equipment
  • Label, color-code, and number wiring according to specifications
  • Prepare cable assemblies for molding processes
  • Sand, clean, prep, and paint cable jackets and assemblies
  • Pull, measure, and cut cable to required lengths
  • Assemble wiring harnesses and sub-assemblies
  • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
  • Assist other team members as needed to support production goals

Qualifications


Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to read and write English
  • Experience using hand tools
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure and take measurements
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to distinguish wire colors and labels
  • Ability to safely use sharp cutting tools and production equipment
  • Ability to read and follow work instructions


Preferred:

  • Manufacturing or assembly experience
  • Experience working with wiring, cable assemblies, or electrical components
  • Experience reading engineering drawings or blueprints
