JOB TITLE: Building Automation Field Supervisor
DEPARTMENT: Operations

JOB SUMMARY:
Lead a team of Group Operations Supervisors (GOS), Project Managers, Engineers, Technicians, and support staff to successfully implement building automation installations for an entire ATS business sector while ensuring the growth and development of individual team members. Overall staffing and fiscal responsibility to ensure successful project completion, including responsibility for conducting individual performance appraisals for direct reports. Ensure that the design and engineering of automation system hardware, software, graphics, and programming meets ATS standards and is based on project plans, specifications, and other contract documents. Ensure documentation is accurate and complete and all department activities are executed at a prominent level. Direct customer interface responsibility. Supervise sub-contractors and suppliers. Function as a liaison between Construction Operations and other ATS groups/departments, including senior management. This is an exempt position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
• Provide leadership and vision to the Construction Operations group.
• Implement and lead the Vision, Values, and Strategies of ATS
• Provide leadership in the recruiting and retention of operations personnel.
• Manage the project re-estimate and job audit process.
• Overall control system design including programming and graphic development implementation.
• Manage the startup, control, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
• Manage as built drawing and customer training process.
• Overall project fiscal responsibility for executing projects on budget.
• Collections assistance for ATS project receivables
• Labor planning for the entire department and support of other departments
• Conduct performance appraisals and quarterly goal review with your reports.
• Supervise mentoring process and training & development plans with all reports.
• Support the Sales and Service departments in acquiring new customers.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Strong interactive, communication, and critical thinking skills
• Demonstrated leadership ability.
• Management of technicians, engineers, and subcontractors
• Project Management, change management, and strong writing skills.
• Experience with electronics, electrical circuits, and technical troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Control Theory and Applications and an understanding of programming skills
• Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
• Conflict resolution skills • Strong analytical skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This position requires consistent physical work at a project jobsite, spending most of your time on your feet. Project jobsites present typical construction and outdoor conditions that require the use of personal protective equipment for safety purposes. Lifting and exerting up to 50 pounds of force is frequently required. Must be comfortable climbing a ladder regularly. Small repetitive motions and use of small tools is included.

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:
• Engineering undergraduate degree
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
• Computer programming experience
• HVAC and/or Mechanical system experience
• 7+ years of industry experience
