Our client in Elk Grove is seeking an experienced Automation Technician! Please note that this position is temp to hire!

Pay: $28.00 per hour

Job description:

Position: 3rd Shift Automation Technician / Molding Supervisor

Job Summary:
The primary focus of this position is to support injection molding operations by supervising production activities, troubleshooting automation and processing issues, and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance, installation, and repair of machinery, automation, production, and facility equipment.
  • Troubleshoot production and automation equipment during production runs and perform basic root cause analysis.
  • Conduct Gemba walks to audit equipment performance and maintenance status.
  • Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance records, project documentation, and After Action Reviews (AARs).
  • Create and modify PLC programs for robots and related equipment as needed.
  • Assist with the setup, integration, and run-off of automation equipment.
  • Maintain 5S standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Respond to technical emergencies after regular working hours, when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience:


  • Plastics injection molding: 3 years (Required)
  • automation: 2 years (Required)
  • Supervising: 1 year (Preferred)


Shift availability:


  • Overnight Shift (Required)
  • Night Shift (Preferred)
