Summary:

The Security Manager assists in the implementation and administration of policies and programs relating to the Bankโ€™s Security and Safety Program, which includes establishing and maintaining operational procedures, training requirements, internal controls, along with the monitoring and reporting of processes in order to comply with all applicable local, state and federal laws, rules and regulations.
Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Primary Regional Security point of contact and response for banking centers and corporate offices within their assigned geographies on regional security matters, including management and resolution of security related issues.  These include: (but are not limited to) responding in-person to bank robberies, workplace violence events, critical incidents.  
  • Work in conjunction with the Security Technology team to resolve security technology outages and assist with security system design/upgrades.
  • Provide security training and updates on ongoing security procedures.
  • Actively participates in providing input for policies and procedures.
  • Disseminate information on criminal activity occurring at the corporation and in local areas to banking centers and departments.
  • Perform facility security audits/surveys and related follow up including device selection, testing, training, and maintaining. 
  • Assist with the research, identification, and oversight of the installation of new and upgraded equipment in all locations within region of responsibility, while working closely with Technical Security team.
  • Works cooperatively with other HNB departments to ensure a continual, effective safeguard to customer, associate, and bank assets; may perform/assist with investigations when required.
  • Represent the bank in conjunction with local court appearances (expert witness, suspect identification, etc.) as well as the accompaniment of employees who may be required to testify in cases specifically pertaining to their area of operation/incidents.
  • Keep abreast of new and amended regulations by attending seminars and gathering information from the internet and regulatory publications.
  • Advise senior management team about emerging security and safety issues.  
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree
  • 5 or more years of experience in a security department, with a specialization in training on audit/security subject matter.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in criminal justice or related field of study
  • Understanding and experience in the use of various CCTV surveillance systems (both analog and IP) as well as alarm and access control systems.
  • Understanding of judicial system.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Sharepoint, One Note, Actimize/Act 1 Case Management, Archibus, Workday, ServiceNow. 
  • Ability to deliver clear, concise, accurate and effective communication (verbal and written) proactively and with a customer-oriented approach. 
  • Excellent problem solving ability and ability to make sound and reasonable decisions through careful evaluation and understanding of the impact of those decisions.
  • High attention to detail with excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize effectively.
  • Must be a team player, as well as possess the ability to work independently.
  • ASIS International Certifications a plus (CPP, PSP, PCI)
