• System Uptime: Ensures uninterrupted technical uptime of the entire monitoring suite.
• Complex Investigations: Leads high-level investigative projects using digital forensics and data analysis.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partners with operations, security, racing officials, and IT to align monitoring capabilities with broader business objectives and regulatory technical standards.
• Quality Assurance: Audits operational logs, physical security practices, money handling, and wagering to ensure the highest technical and legal standards.
• Emergency Operations: Supports the organization’s Incident Management System (IMS) and Emergency Action Plan (EAP) during critical events.
• Crisis Communication: Conveys timely and accurate information gathered through the VMS as reported by the VMS team while multitasking under stress.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Five years or more with supervisory experience in asset protection, security operations, or law enforcement, preferably in gaming or racing environments.
• Leadership: Proven leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Compliance: Experience operating under rules established by governing bodies or oversight agencies.
• Technical Software: Proficiency with Video Management Systems, access controls, alarms systems, and incident reporting software.
• Schedule: Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and race days.
Preferred Skills:
• Systems Administration: Experience supervising operations of Video Management Systems (VMS), Network Video Recorders (NVR), and integrated security platforms.
• Strategic Planning: Ability to manage and schedule personnel, create technical roadmaps, and direct resource allocation.
• Advanced Investigations: Proficiency in technical investigations through the VMS, including evidence recognition, and forensic video analysis.
• Data Literacy: Ability to summarize complex technical data into actionable executive reports.
• Project Management: Experience managing VMS during periods of technical installs or facility-wide hardware rollouts.
• Human Resources: Experience providing coaching, counseling and development to subordinates in a constructive and meaningful manner.
Skills Proficiency:
• Physical Security Professional (PSP) The ASIS International (American Society for Industrial Security) certification is the premier technical certification for roles such as SOM. It validates expertise in conducting threat recognition and integrating physical security systems, including cameras and access control.
• Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM) Unlike general project management, this ASIS certification focuses specifically on the unique technical demands of security system rollouts and implementation, as well as infrastructure upgrades for operational VMS.
• Certified Protection Professional (CPP) The ASIS certification is regarded as the "gold standard" for security management, it covers the broad integration of business principles with security technology including VMS.
