For someone who wants long-term leadership potential within a nationally recognized A/E firm, this is a strong platform.

Core Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural projects from programming and conceptual design through construction administration and project closeout

  • Develop project execution plans, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, milestones, and deliverables

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and internal project teams

  • Lead client meetings, design presentations, consultant coordination sessions, and project updates

  • Manage project financial performance, including budgets, fees, staffing, profitability, billing coordination, and resource utilization

  • Oversee architectural design development, construction documentation, and technical coordination

  • Review construction documents for quality, consistency, constructability, and compliance with project requirements

  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across architecture, engineering, planning, and construction administration

  • Ensure compliance with building codes, zoning requirements, accessibility standards, permitting requirements, and client criteria

  • Manage scope changes, contract modifications, project risks, and client expectations

  • Mentor architects, designers, and technical staff while supporting professional development and team accountability

  • Coordinate with contractors during construction, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, site visits, and field issue resolution

  • Identify opportunities for repeat business, expanded client relationships, and future project opportunities

  • Support business development efforts, proposal development, interviews, and pursuit strategy as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture

  • Experience: Strong project management experience within an architectural practice

  • Project Experience: Experience managing commercial, retail, restaurant, public-sector, municipal, institutional, or mixed-use architectural projects

  • Software: Proficiency in Revit required

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of construction documentation, detailing, building codes, permitting, and project delivery

  • Project Management: Ability to manage schedules, budgets, staffing, scope, consultants, financial performance, and multiple concurrent projects

  • Team Coordination: Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams, consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders

  • Communication: Excellent organizational, written, verbal, client-facing, and presentation skills

  • Transportation: Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensure: Registered Architect preferred

  • Project Tools: Experience with Deltek, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, BIM collaboration tools, or construction administration platforms

  • Construction Administration: Experience reviewing RFIs, submittals, change orders, field reports, and contractor questions

  • Client Leadership: Experience leading client meetings, presentations, and project coordination discussions

  • Team Leadership: Experience mentoring junior architects, designers, and technical staff

  • Business Development: Experience supporting proposals, client relationships, repeat work, or strategic pursuits

  • Leadership Growth: Interest in advancing into senior architectural leadership within a growing multidisciplinary firm

Ideal Candidate Profile

This opportunity is ideal for someone who:

  • Enjoys leading projects from start to finish

  • Wants greater ownership and autonomy

  • Thrives in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment

  • Balances technical expertise with client service

  • Communicates clearly with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams

  • Is passionate about delivering thoughtful, functional, community-focused architecture
