Job Description:
Crouch Staffing Solutions, Inc. is recruiting for a full-time Accounting Controller for a growing manufacturer in the Waco, TX area to oversee and manage all accounting and financial functions of the business. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting operations, producing financial reports, and supporting the management team with financial analysis and operational insight.

Key Responsibilities:
Accounting & Financial Management
  • Manage all general accounting functions including:
    • Accounts Payable
    • Accounts Receivable
    • General Ledger
    • Bank Reconciliations
    • Journal Entries
    • Fixed Assets
    • Payroll coordination
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes
  • Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow forecasts
  • Manage sales tax filings and other compliance reporting
  • Coordinate with outside CPA for tax preparation and annual reviews
Operational & Management Support
  • Develop and maintain budgets and financial forecasts
  • Analyze financial performance and provide recommendations to management
  • Monitor inventory accounting and costing - strong cost accounting experience
  • Assist with ERP/accounting system management and process improvements
  • Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures
  • Support management with reporting, KPIs, and operational analysis
Administrative & Other Duties
  • Assist with HR/payroll administration as needed
  • Manage vendor relationships related to accounting and banking
  • Support insurance audits, lender reporting, and other financial requirements
  • Participate in process improvement and automation initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of accounting or controller experience
  • Experience in distribution, construction supply, industrial supply, or waterworks industry preferred
  • Strong understanding of:
    • financial statements
    • cash flow management
    • inventory accounting
    • job costing
  • Experience with ERP/accounting systems
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in small to mid-sized businesses
  • CPA or CMA designation is a plus but not required
