These roles can range from camp directors and counselors to support staff who oversee activities, safety, and the overall camper experience. People working in Full Camp positions are responsible for planning schedules, supervising campers, ensuring health and safety standards are met, and facilitating a positive and engaging camp environment. The term may be used to distinguish full-time or all-encompassing camp roles from part-time or specialized camp jobs.

To thrive as a Camp Director or Camp Counselor, you need strong leadership, organizational, and program planning skills, typically supported by experience in education, recreation, or a related field. Familiarity with camp management software, safety certifications (like CPR/First Aid), and knowledge of child development are commonly required.
