Job Summary Trade the North Carolina heat for a summer in the North! We are seeking medical professionals ready to relocate for a seasonal "working vacation" at elite residential camps. You will provide clinical care in beautiful outdoor settings, managing everything from minor scrapes to wellness coordination.
Key Responsibilities - Provide day-to-day clinical care and first aid for campers and staff in a residential setting.
- Manage the intake, storage, and distribution of daily medications with high accuracy.
- Assess and treat routine illnesses, sports injuries, and seasonal allergies.
- Maintain clear and confidential electronic health records and treatment logs.
- Coordinate with on-site medical directors or local healthcare providers for advanced care needs.
- Support the camp community by participating in health orientations and safety briefings.
- Communicate effectively with parents and camp leadership regarding participant wellness.
- Be a reassuring and proactive presence in the camp infirmary or wellness center.
Minimum Requirements - Active licensure or certification as an RN, LPN, EMT, or Nurse Practitioner.
- Willingness to relocate temporarily to Northern states (NY, ME, WI, MA) for the summer season.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications.
- Ability to live on-site and participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- Strong assessment skills and the ability to work comfortably in an outdoor, youth-centered environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork habits.
Ideal Qualifications - Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, emergency medicine, or urgent care.
- Adaptable personality with a genuine love for the outdoors and community living.
- Previous experience in a camp or residential youth program is a plus but not required.
